We can advise you on all aspects of chiller replacement

We are fully conversant with all types of water chillers, for both air conditioning and process cooling applications, including air cooled, water cooled and with remote condensers.

We regularly install Daikin, Aermec and Hitachi water chillers, as well as other makes. With plant room chillers we also have the facility to dismantle chillers if required, to re-assemble in situ and carry out the evacuation, pressure testing and re-charging with refrigerant.

Aircon Installations Ltd are not allied to any single manufacturer. We are able to put forward the best equipment for your project, selected from the many manufacturers of chillers and associated plant, including:

Aermec + Airedale + Blue Box + BAC + Baltimore + Carter + Carrier + Climaveneta + Clivet + Daikin + Delonghi + Deltaclima + Dunham Bush + GEA Denco + H&C Coils + Hitachi + Klima + McQuay + M&Y Ahu + Petra + Searle + Stulz + Trane + York

There are hundreds of different chiller models available with many factors to consider;

  • Efficiency ;  high / standard
  • Noise level;  standard / Low
  • Compressor;  Screw / Scroll / Reciprocating / Centrifugal
  • Heat exchanger;  Shell and Tube / Plate
  • Electrical options;  Soft start / Inverter control / Power Factor Correction
  • Cooling output
  • Size and weight
  • Number of circuits

We can design and build variations on mainstream equipment to suit height and noise restrictions, including the dismantling and re-assembly of standard chillers to suit access restrictions on site.

We supply and install flat pack air handling units and condensers to suit confined spaces. Plus, we overhaul air handling units, replacing fans, coils, dampers and filters.

Many modern commercial buildings require year round operation of their chillers, perhaps serving sensitive areas such as data rooms, telecom facilities and so forth, demanding the quickest possible change-over from old to new equipment with minimal, or even zero down times.
We, at Aircon Installations Ltd., have a great deal of experience in such cases, often changing pairs of chillers in three or four days from switch ‘off’ to switch ‘on’. This requires detailed planning well in advance of the project date, involving discussions with local authorities regarding road closures for cranes, off-site prefabrication of welded pipe connections, and with electricians, welders, commissioning engineers all ready and waiting to do their part when required.
On the day of the crane lift, usually at a weekend, we would have up to twenty personnel working on these projects at any one time, all working as a team to ensure a successful conclusion.

Aircon’s project manager will meet and liaise closely with the client to discuss their requirements to ensure a smooth operation with minimum disruption.

These include:

  • System surveys
  • Plant validations and feasibility studies
  • Project programming
  • Method statements
  • Risk assessments
  • CDM co-ordination
  • Liaison with Local authorities and Government Bodies
  • Day to day Project Management on site
